ABOUT ME
I’m a storyteller at heart, currently rewriting a young-adult novel entitled Barefoot with an interested literary agent. I’m the author of the forthcoming America (Workman Publishing, 2026), a photicular (motion-picture) book celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. I’ve written extensively for Honest History magazine, and I’m the sole writer/producer/creator of Bigfoot’s Great American History Show on YouTube.
I’m a life-long lover of fairy tales, and much of my work is inspired by writers like Hans Christian Andersen and Charles Perrault. People call me an old soul. I love just about everything from the 19th century, from long Russian novels and horse-drawn carriages to American folk legends and historic banjos.
In my free time, I enjoy walking, reading, and thinking. The LA Arboretum in Arcadia is my happy place. I’m an avid if awful League of Legends player, hard stuck in bronze league. I build musical instruments and play them. Blues is my favorite genre of music, but I dabble in folk, old time, jazz, and classical. I’m also a retired graphic designer, computer animator, teacher/tutor, See’s Candies employee, life skills coach for seniors with disabilities, and transcriptionist.
